Christmas 2010
What diverse seasons we have here in Australia. From severe drought in Western Australia to floods on the eastern coastal areas. In New South Wales and Victoria and in between amazing rains down the centre that have turned the desert areas into amazing growth and renewal.
Locally our area in South Australia is experiencing a bumper season with bountiful crops. Our farm has a wonderful crop of barley and oats. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they can be harvested before the forecasted wet period prior to Christmas and of course the millions of locust hovering not too far away.
We are very grateful to the growers who supply the grains to us. These are exceptionally skilled farmers who are battling the elements every year of drought and too much rain or at the wrong time. Life on the land is never easy!
Products

After many, many years it is great to have Australian Organic Sunflower Kernels back. They are of an excellent quality and flavour. They are hulled at our mill ensuring their freshness.

Also after a long time we now have Organic Adzuki Beans available.

The Bio dyanmic Brown Rice is in stock again. We now have the medium grain available in both Brown or White Rice and back is the Brown Long Grain Rice.

Our newer lines of Steel Cut Oats and Linseed Flakes are proving popular.
Out and About

Phillip and Kathy were pleased to catch up with so many consumers at the Sydney Organic Expo in August. This was another successful Expo and we are looking forward to the next one in Melbourne in October, 2011.

The end of any year is hectic enough, but this year we were invited to have a presence at the MasterChef Life Expo Australia's festival of cooking. The younger ones of our team were very enthusiastic so we have been very busy getting our stand ready. It is in the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney from December 10-12. Details can be found at www.mastercheflive.com.au. If you are planning to attend please come and say 'hi' to us. We are expecting to show our products mainly to those who just want quality food for their family, but you never know, perhaps we will meet some organic cooks!

Family Matters

Some years back we wrote about Helen's son who was keen on tennis. He has kept this passion going and his hard work is starting to be rewarded. He has recently been selected with two other boys to compete in the 14&U South Australian team against the other states (excluding Northern Territory) and New Zealand in Melbourne. This competition is just prior to the Nationals - we wish him the best of luck.
Thank You

From your continuing support, we have had another busy year with increased sales and wonderful comments being received generally. We really appreciate feed back - good or constructive, as this gives us the opportunity to improve our service and if possible respond positively to suggestions.
Christmas Break

Our office will be closed from Friday, 17 December 2010 and reopen on Tuesday, 4 January 2011.

We wish you all a joyous Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe 2011.
Warmest Regards,
